Problems with MS Office attachments

Since installing Win10 when I receive an attachment with MS Word document it won't open, receiving the following error message.

When I try to open an attached Excel document this is the message received. These message occur even when I email to myself documents that already work fine from my Documents folder or subfolders.

Any help would be appreciated. Very frustrated with amount of time I'm dealing with this since installing Win10. Thanks!

I had the same problem. I disabled the protected view settings, and now I can open up attachments.

Within Excel, navigate to File->Options->Trust Center. Click on the Trust Center Settings... button. Under the Protected View pane, un-check all of the boxes. Close Excel and try opening up your attached file.

FYI..you can follow the same instructions for Word and the other MS office products.
