Your thread topic mentions "Live Mail"...
The body of your post mentions "outlook mail", and.......
"windows 10" which might imply yet a third email program.
Rather than attempting to guess what we're talking about, maybe you could describe your "Probs" specifically with some indication as to which email program you are talking about.
Outlook = Office Outlook as in the Microsoft Office Suite or the standalone program http://www.microsoftstore.com/store...+2016&ef_id=VkuxJwAAAMRpUkM@:20160108142913:s
Outlook = Outlook.com the web based email https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-com/?cb=v8ho
Outlook = Windows 10 mail app free and native to Windows 10
Outlook = Windows Live Mail free as part of Security Essentials 2012 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/essentials

It seems that "Outlook" is becoming a generic reference for an email program but it comes in a couple different flavors, but to many "Outlook" means the full featured paid for commercial version of Microsoft Outlook and is not free, nor has it ever been free.

I too wondered about the difference between "outlook" and "live"
I have windows 10 and use *****@outlook.com but every once in a while something will suggest that maybe I should be using @live.com. Does it involve getting a new e-mail address or finding out how to change to live or do I just leave things as they are?

To avoid the thread becoming too confusing:

@live.com is referring to a online live MS account. It can be of several flavours. eg. Outlook.com
Outlook.com is the new/current name for the Microsoft online Email service. If an account is opened there, the "outlook.com" would be the suffix.eg (e-mail address removed). If you have no real need for a desktop program, this is an excellent alternative.

Live Mail (which I use) is a desktop email program, which can fetch online Email automatically to your desktop. AS Trouble says, it is part of Live Essentials. It is a slightly slimmed and simplified version of MS Outlook.com. It no longer receives official help from MS as it's production has been discontinued, but still works 100 % on all platforms.

Ms Outlook.com, is party of MSOffice. It is a very reliable program, with functions over and beyond simply handling mail. Comment here would be that, if you have no real need for the MS office program, with its cost and used HD space, it is an inefficient way to get Email.

"Mail" is the new, over simplified, mail program in Windows 10. It is not receiving too much custom, for the moment, but , according to MS, is still being developed and improved. OIt's lack of functions may be one reason for the lack of enthusiasm.
