Program by default - reset all the time

Hi !

I'm currently running a MSI Leopard, laptop.
I have this one issue. I set up Chrome as my default browser for example, or VLC as my default player for .avi, .mp4, .mkv or else.
But as soon as I will have rebooted the laptop, these settings are reset. Edge for web pages, Windows Media Player for videos etc ...

How can I fix this ?

Is the account that you are using to log in to the computer a member of the local administrator's group?
IF so, then there may be a problem with your local profile.
You can try creating a new user, as a member of the local administrators group (not a standard user) and try that account, to see if changes you make as that user are preserved through a reboot.
