SOLVED Quesiton Mark missing

Didn't get the chance to get familiar enough with it to find out what it was called. Some sort of search thing. It was between the start menu and the task thing. Now it's gone. How do I get it back?

Do you see a circle right next to the Start button ?
If yes, click it. The search bar will appear.

If you want to see it at the taskbar, right click at an open spot of the taskbar, click Cortana > click Show search box.

Note : Taskbar is the long rectangular bar at the bottom of the screen stretching from left to right.

Thank you for the reply, David.

Next to the windows icon/start menu is only the Task View.

I regret to say that I removed Cortana from the menu, not seeing a benefit in it and always wanting things looking as simple as possible; hate 'busy', animated designs.

So I guess now the mystery is how to access Cortana.
