Hi everyone. I have a problem. I did a clean install of Windows 10. I looked in the registry and there is not a registered owner key. Also when I do winver.exe this appears:

Can anyone assist me with this problem? Thank you. maryhigginsrice

You can add a name, if you are comfortable with editing the registry.

Open the registry (regedit in the run box) and scroll down to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Look down the long list for the registered owner and type any name you would like into it

Thank you, davehc. I navigated to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion and it does not have a registered owner or user key.

it does not have a registered owner or user key.
That is correct. Not by default, but.....
You can just add the two new string values
RegisteredOrganization
RegisteredOwner
And edit them as you wish so they contain what you want to see in WinVer

Mine too. At least those that were products of an upgrade.
I think, somewhere along the line as part of a clean install I lost those two string data values.

I never thought of that.
I only use Ccleaner and then only rarely and only its' default settings.
I may have to experiment and see.

If you don't fancy messing manually, you can run the attached reg. Firt, though, edit it with Notepad or similar and change "David" to the name of your choice.
