Restarting Windows Explorer

When my computer goes into sleep mode and I wake it the task bar is not viewable until I open the task manager and restart Windows Explorer. After that the taskbar works normally until the computer goes into sleep mode again. Any ideas what is causing this to happen and a way to fix it? Windows 10 is otherwise chugging along just fine.
