Restore Point

I create a Restore Point every day and the output message is Restore Completed successfully.
I had need to do a restore from latest Point and it failed.
Tried several previous Points and they also failed
with the following output message.

System Restore did not complete successfully, Your computer's files and settings were not changed.


System Restore failed while restoring the directory from the restore point
Source: AppxStaging
Destination: %ProgramFiles%\WindowsApps
An unspecified error occurred during System Restore (0x80070091)

You can try System Restore again and choose a different restore point

I had to recover the machine by doing an Image recovery.

How can I fix my Restore Point generation and Recovery??

There has been quite a few post of late on the same problem, I don't recall if their problem was resolved. I would suggest patience and wait for the big update March 14 and see if that resolves your restore issues. Images are priceless, they can save many hours of grief.

Well after the big update Mar 14, The restore point failure message is still being produced on a restore.
One would think that since this message indicates an abnormal end of a system function, it would be bumped up closer to the top for attention.
So. is there any one here with a direct line into Win10 developers who can query this restore point failure?
apparently this failure is unknown to the right people.
