That's a matter of opinion. I myslef use Ant-Malwarebytes with Norton 360. I suggest if you use the Windows built in that you at least use AMB for malware. Viruses are just 1 category of malware. I get messages from Norton and AMB blocking things.

I rest a little easier, augmenting the native Windows Defender product with the premium version of Malwarebytes, but generally speaking you'll likely see hundreds if not thousands of opinions on this topic.
Bottom line.......
You're your own best security. If you're downloading from P2P / Torrents or clicking willy-nilly on emails and attachments. Nothing and I mean NOTHING is going to protect your system.

Anti-malware should cover Spyware.

Malware' is an umbrella term used to refer to a variety of forms of hostile or intrusive software, including computer viruses, worms, trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, adware, scareware, and other malicious programs. It can take the form of executable code, scripts, active content, and other software.
