Shrinking photos for email

I don't understand why MS made this task so difficult.
Try opening a pic in "Paint" and resizing. It may be what your looking for. Other than Paint, it's a third party program as bassfisher6522 mentioned.

Me either.....ever since the release of 8/8.1 and 10....MS has stripped away everything that made windows 7 so great.

If you pay close attention to that and look at what all the "NEW" features MS is adding to 10....most of it is what was in 7 all ready...just in this silly app form that I hate.

The quickest way that I know is to make a copy of the pic, open the copy with "Paint" and then "Save as" and choose .jpg as a format!. ;)

I 'm not sure I would agree to the difficulty. Paint makes you jump through a couple of hops, but Paint, unchanged for many Windows generations, is a breeze.
If you are using Outlook, though, it can be so easily done from within the Email you are sending.
