Sleep and screen stays BLACK

Hi

windows ten Version 1809

I can put my system in sleep mode, but when back from sleep mode and little later want sleep mode again , it fails to work.

And now when I put into sleep mode , it doesn't sleep and the screen stays BLACK and computer keeps running , I have to force shut down by

taking out the power cord

Please advise
