Software to assign function keys?

I would like to make function keys to mute, volume up, and volume down.

How can this be done?

Are there hot keys or shortcuts to do this?

Or is there software that can assign these to function keys?

Normally this is done through the keyboard software.....of an aftermarket brand. I'm not aware of any 3rd party software that does this.....this is not to say it's not out there some where. I've just not heard of any.

I have a Logitech G510 and it has 18 G keys I can set up to do anything I want....this is generally referred to as macro's. Currently I only use 1, the G1 key and I have that set for the "degree" symbol.
