My Start icon periodically ( a few times a week) freezes after startup.
When this happens the Edge Brower, Microsoft Solitaire Collection, Windows Live Mail and Notification Icons also do not work.
All non Microsoft Icons will function including the Opera Browser.
The only thing that will correct the problem is a right click on the Start Icon and choose "Restart"
After the Restart process and my Computer is back running normally , I usually find that a "Check for update" has occurred in the same time period as the original starting of my Computer, also if I check in Task Manager after restarting I normally find 100% hard drive usage for normally about 2 minutes.
I don't know for sure if there is a connection between these things but there seems to be a conflict somewhere.
I did run sfc /scannow and it found not problems.
Suggestions anyone ?
