My Windows 10 activation window says the following:

Edition: Windows 10 Pro
Activation: Windows is activated
Product Key Windows 10 on this device is activated with a digital entitlement.

But it doesn't say that I'm linked to my Microsoft account although I do sign in with my Microsoft account.

I wanted to get rid of this computer but transfer the license (activation) to a computer I recently bought with Windows 10 Home Edition and make that a Pro edition. I tried downloading Windows 10 Pro from the store and then using the Windows 10 key from the computer I'm getting rid of. But I'm denied the activation because it says that my serial is invalid??? What am I doing wrong??

Hello and welcome to the forum.
What you are trying to do is not support, cannot be done and is impossible.
Other than that you're not doing anything wrong.
The digital entitlement is linked to the computer not your account.

It depends on whether the version of Windows you upgraded from was OEM or retail. If it was OEM, the upgrade license will also be OEM, and not transferable. If you upgraded from a store bought PC, then it's most likely an OEM license.
