Brief history......
I messed up with my laptop, so I had to start from scratch:
Reinstalled Win 7 Home Premium > upgraded back to Win 10 Home.
All is fine now.

Question : what is $SysReset ?
I know it says system reset.
But how does it work.?
How do I use it, or do I use it at all if I need to do a system reset ?

I always figured it was created when a system had been reset, presumed it was for some sort of fall back recovery in case the reset failed and it had to revert.

If you manage to find out definitively please post back. I'd like to know for sure.

One point I did not mention but I'd like to understand why...........

After I had reinstalled Win 7, I went to my ISO file saved in an ext. hard drive, fished out the Windows 10 ISO and attempted to do an in-place upgrade.
Surprise ! The system does not recognize the file as an image file. It shows a blank icon and unable to open. Forget about Mount.
I took the ext. hdd to my other laptop running Win 10 Pro, and it recognized the iso file.

So I had to insert the Win 10 DVD to my Win 7 laptop, and run the Setup.exe from the disk. Installation went smoothly and activated.

So, why the Win 7 system could not recognize the iso file ?
