Trouble with Autodesk's DWG TrueView 2016

I have been using Autodesk's TrueView 2016 to view DWG and DXF files. After I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 I can't start the viewer anymore. When I start the application it starts loading all the files and dll s it needs -which are quite a lot - but hangs when "Checking License". The only way to get rid of the startup screen is by using task manager. I've tried unloading and reloading the app but nothing works.
I would appreciate some help. Thanks.
