Windows update no longer works, when I open the page the following message appears: 'There was a problem. Please try to reopen the settings later.' I've been trying for days but nothing has changed

Go to "Settings", "Update and Security", click "Troubleshoot" in the left window, then "Additional troubleshooters", click on "Windows Update", then "Run the troubleshooter".

Problems like this can be hard to fix. Open a administrative command prompt and type or paste the following two lines. The second one may take a while, but you can continue to use the computer while it is running.

schtasks /run /tn "Microsoft\Windows\waasmedic\performremediation"
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
