Hello

After the windows 10 upgrade, usb ports are not working. System detects a device. I can see the device in device manager, but no icons are displayed in file explorer. I cannot open any of the external usb storage device or print from a printer connected via usb port.
Please help!

At a minimum you may have to install the chipset driver for you main board.
Check with the Computer or Motherboard manufacturer's respective websites for drivers and see what the have to offer in the way of Windows 10 drivers......
OR
At least something reasonably close, maybe Windows 8 or 8.1

There is another post on this, but, to repeat. I had this problem from the first build. It may be computer make specific. But, the rather lame remedy I discovered was that, for some unknown reason, the USB ports had to be reregistered.
I unplugged each USB port device, waited a few seconds and then plugged in again. No problems from thereon. Definitely a bug(?), but, for me, solved.
