A friend has several ISO files saved in a folder. If he clicks on them to open them they then appear in "This PC" as virtual drives and if you highlight them a box comes up with "Eject " in it .

Have never ever seen an ISO do this before.

Any suggestions on whats going on and how to stop it .

Is on a Toshiba Satellite running WIn 10 with all updates.

Doesnt do it on my machine with same OS.

That's the way Windows 10 works.
You should be able to double click any ISO file and it should mount.
OR
Right click and choose mount. Right click the virtual drive and choose eject
At least..... that's the way I've been doing it since Windows 8

I guess, I'm missing your point then.
When I double click an ISO or right click it and choose mount it always comes up as a "virtual" optical drive

Have worked it out I think. Its probably because I never actually run an ISO from a HDD. Seems the other users who I have done things on their machines dont either. Just this one guy does it.
If I have a ISO I usually write it to disc and delete it and so have no reason to run it.
I will go back to sleep for now

Thanks
