I have a remote server that I connect to via VPN to access the shared folders. Setting up the VPN connection on my Windows 7 PC, I have no problems and effortlessly set up the Mapped Network Drive.
Following the exact same procedure, on the same network with the same credentials, but on my Windows 10 PC (Upgraded from Win7), I can setup the VPN connection successfully. However, I cannot access the shared files on the server. I receive a error upon attempting to connect (error code: 0x80070035 the network path was not found). Sometimes it appears to connect, but then only displays the shared folders on my local machine.
When running a diagnose, Problems found "One or more network protocols are missing on this computer".
I tried to reset the windows socket with cmd "netsh Winsoc reset". then restart PC, but No luck.
I tried changing the network connection to the router from Wireless to Wired, still the same error.
I can successfully ping the IP address and connect remotely to the server.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
