SNAP can be unticked in the context menu of the window title bar AND there is a global option in Settings, Multitasking, SNAP. Having turned it off globally, I find that new emails (W.L.M.) still have Snap ticked ! How to make WLM 'obey' the global setting ? - I run Win10 v1703, 32bit.

If your emails are coming from a web based mail server, you probably need to import the contacts from the web server to your WLM app, so the Server knows its you, otherwise it will require a logon to prove its you.

I routinely do the opposite. From time to time, I import the contacts of my W.L.M. email client into Gmail. I can not see the relevance of this, to SNAP's persistence after it has been 'globally unticked'.
