WHAT THE HECK...??!!

I downloaded Windows 10 and all seemed ok. I kept getting annoying windows about compatibility issues and it seemed like it was with TuneUp Utilities. I uninstalled the program, and now I get black squares over all my desktop icons...??!!
Attached is a screen grab of what my screen looks like.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this...? I even restored to an earlier date and the desktop was fine the next day until I added a new download of a game file (CoD) and the damn squares came back...?!!!

You probably just need to rebuild your icon cache and or your thumbnail cache.
Google it, it's relatively easy and straight forward.
