Hello all i am new to this forum but came seeking help.
I ahve a HP pav 500 something or other and it cannot keep a stable connections ( for more than 2 seconds) to my wifi.
The wifi card is a Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11b|g|n WiFi Adapter and always worked well before i installed Win 10.
I got fed up tryin to fix driver issues so i bought a usb wifi card. It is ment to relay 150mbps but mannages 1-2 Mbps. i have speed tested my phone on wifi in the same location as my HP pc and my phone recieves 35Mbps.
What is going on? can anyone offer suggestions?
i have tried updating the drivers but all seem up to date.
thanks for reading, i hope someone can help me gain proper internetage again.

Have you checked the properties of the USB wifi device in device manager? Could it be stuck on 802.11b?

As for the Qualcomm, have you checked for a driver on HP's site? or on Qualcomms site or both and still with no success.
