BEWARE!!!

our BMS computer recently decided to do an auto win 10 update and it destroyed all the static IP addresses for the trend BMS system that controlled a whole town!!

caused a whole day of chaos - especially if the IP service is externally managed and turned out to be the coldest day of the year

It must have been a deferred update. When the deferral period expires, Windows will execute the auto update.

What you explained is serious, Pretty sad!
I predicted some time ago on here that Win 10, with no track record, would cause major damage to businesses. I can see class action Lawsuites on the horizon for MS.

BMS is a building management system and controls all equipment functions, HVAC heating, lighting and in some cases lifts
we have reinstated win 7 and all is stable
