I long ago went thru the "netplwiz" routine to avoid entering a password at start-up. However, if my machine is idle for any length of time a dialog appears requiring me to "sign-in". It's just a single click, but why is it required at all? Is there a way to remove this? Life is short.

Thanks to all the knowledgeable people who unselfishly help us old duffers.

Thank you, Mr/Ms Moderator. The remedy was right there in settings, where I should have found it, ...............but the tree has so many branches. :^)
