Windows 10 boot installation issue

I need help with my old laptop, which currently runs Windows 7. I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 10. When I insert my flash drive to boot, the Windows 10 logo appears on the screen, but after almost an hour, the installation does not proceed.

It would help mightily if we knew what the Notebook/Laptop is, make, model name, model number, CPU, RAM, etc.

Agreed. Some older computer cannot install anything newer than Windows 7 because they do not support the SSE command set. I have a computer that can only run on Windows 7 because of that reason.
As @Bighorn said, more information is needed...
