Windows 10 downloading to over 75% progress but vanished from the desktop

I was trying to used media creation tool to upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10 but having progressed to over 75% it vanished from the desktop. What else should i do because it has happened twice. Better still, where can i find the downloaded setup on my pc. thanks

When you were running the Media Creation Tool, did you select " Create installation media for another PC " ?

If not, go back and do it. That is to create an ISO file.
After that, right click at the ISO file > click Mount > click Setup.exe.
Installation will begin. It will allow you to keep your files, settings and apps, or you can choose to "keep nothing".
It will not require a product key.

I used that method to install Win 10 Pro over my Win 8.1.1 Pro.

That link looks to be only for the EU versions of Windows 10 and I don't see any Pro version either when selecting "select edition" tab.
