Windows 10 Email just stopped working.....with Gmail

Have been using W10 and linked my gmail account to it successfully and been using it for 5 months. Tuesday 10 May it all went pear shaped and W10 email will neither receive new emails or send new emails. Gmail outside of W10 still works fine as have tested it extensively. Have tried the "Turn off fast Start up" / reboot option but then nothing of windows 10 would boot at all. So turned fast start up back on.W10 email still does not work. Gmail outside of W10 continues to work fine

Any "fix" clues how to get W10 to receive / send via my Gmail

Try force a refresh on the mail client with the following in powershell:
Get-AppxPackage | Where name -match windowscommunicationsapps | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
