Hey all so I have been working with all versions of Windows, Since Windows 3.1. Out of all my years of exp., I finally ran into something I have not seen before with Windows 10.

So I recently finished upgrading all my systems to Windows 10 without a problem. One system had a older dual core Cpu, So today I upgraded it to a 6 Core Vishera.

And here is where things get weird, The Motherboard and Bios show the new CPU on Post.. However Windows 10's System screen is still showing the Old Cpu Listed. I have tried to update the Cpu driver, Windows Update, and a bunch of other things with no luck at all.

So I am asking you guys on these forums what your thoughts are, on why Windows 10 wont show the new CPU info.

Any Insight would be indeed appreciated.

Can we assume that you've already gone into Device Manager, right clicked on "Processors" and chose "Scan for hardware changes"?

IF you launch a command prompt and type
systeminfo
and hit enter
what does that say with respect to the Processor(s) line in the results.
