OK this has happened to me twice now. Reboot the PC and the password is invalid.
The first time it happened it took me a couple of hours to sort out, resetting my password using husband's PC.
Then it happened again today. Went and reset the password on another PC, again it would not accept the password on mine.
I am using a laptop with an additional monitor and a USB keyboard.
Lets pretend my password is Cabbage123.
I entered the password, but when I clicked on the "eye" symbol in the password field what I saw was:
CABBAGE!"£
It took a couple of minutes hitting the caps lock on both keyboards (it would have been quicker if I had unplugged the second keyboard), but eventually I got there.
Perhaps I didn't need to reset my password in the first place. I am posting this in the hope that it might help someone else, it is worth checking out before you go down other routes and waste a lot of time.
