Windows 10 update takes over permission on folders

Windows 10 update takes over permission on folders and set everything to read only. Going to the security to give myself permission back doesn't stay either and under the security tab on the os (C) folder doesn't even have my name.
I can't save anything not even a screen capture.

log in as admin and that should solve the problem for you?. If you are using a guest account, that might be the reason?:

have you checked to see if you are really "Admin"?. Do you have other accounts on your PC?.
