Press the Windows and "R" keys simultaneously, type or paste "msdt.exe /id WindowsUpdateDiagnostic" into the "Run" box and click "OK".

Can you clarify what build you are updating from, and to what build you intend to update to please.

The latest build # is 18362.418 — [ Windows 10, Version 1903, build 18362.418 ]

Also, can you indicate how you are attempting to update your OS please:
  • via the Windows Update Service
  • via a bootable USB device
  • via a bootable DVD
  • by mounting a downloaded ISO image
Also, have you attempting any troubleshoot steps already?

This information is important, as it will determine any advice given on what next to attempt, to overcome the issue.

Hello Regedit32
These are issues I can't find any reference to on this forum or in Settings - maybe you can help, please.
I've updated to 1903, but my laptop is now running very slowly, and constantly refreshing the icons on the desktop and taskbar. In addition, the startup "splash screen" has reverted to a 12-hour clock display.
Thanks.

Correct Grizzly. It was the latest build when I posted that on the 21st.
