Windows 10 won't Connect to Wifi

Hi everyone,

I have a Lenovo Yoga laptop that runs on windows 10. Whenever I use my laptop in certain areas of my house, the wifi goes out. These areas have always had connection whenever I use my phone or other devices. The wifi signal is there and it should be connecting, but then it just stops working and says the laptop cannot connect to this network. It takes awhile for it to reconnect and sometimes I have to restart the laptop. I'm not sure if this is a wifi problem or a windows 10 problem, but the wifi works fine on any other device.

If anyone has any answers, please help!

Hello and welcome to the forum.
IF you've recently installed that latest Cumulative Update for Windows 10, then.....
You are not alone

Many people are having some network issues, since that update and Microsoft is said to be working on a fix.
So far it would seem that assigning a static value to the IPv4 properties of your network adapter helps as the update, seems to have done something to DHCP.

Apparently it impacts both wired as well as wireless connections and they stop working or become intermittent.
