    Hello,

I've been a user of Windows 7 for almost a decade. I told myself that I will never upgrade, but then I heard that Windows 8.1 and 10 was better than Windows 7. I posted here to know which windows version is better; but before that, you have to consider my situation:

I play games, so I like the version that is best suited for gaming. I'm also pretty computer-savvy, so any user-friendliness is out of the book. I also don't like bloatware, I want my computer to be clean as possible when I reinstall a version on windows.

What do you guys think is the best version of windows for my situation?

I personally don't think it matters unless you are playing DX12 titles. I don't have any experience comparing them, to base my opinion on. One thing is for certain though, Windows 7 will be forgotten before Windows 10. I upgraded to Windows 10 because I didn't want to be left behind. I do miss Windows 7. For me Windows 7 was the better operating system. Windows 10 is however the most up to date.

Yeah I know that didn't help, probably just shadows your own thoughts.

Honestly, I've played Battlefield 4 on both Windows 8 and 10, and saw zero difference in frame rates. I also played Battlefield 3 and CoD Black Ops 2 on all three versions, and noticed no difference at all. To be future proof, I'd say go with 10, as more and more games are supporting dx12. There are also games that require dx12 (or at least Windows 10).

The biggest issue is Windows 7 only has a year of support left. If you're content running older games, then you're good for a little while.
