Windows Compatibility Assistant

Program Compatibility Assistant (PCA) gives me continuous alerts that "an app can't run on this device" but the pop up doesn't say which app It's worried about and all the apps I'm using are running fine. I even get the alert when Task Manager shows no running app so I suspect it's something running in the background. Is there a way to disable PCA. Is there a way to determine which app is causing the alert?
