Windows update and Google Chrome

Hi folks, not sure if any one else has had a similar problem but after the latest update my Google Chrome browser just will not load, totaly broken. Tried reinstalling several times to no avail. I suspect this may be a problem that is common only to me as Iv'e not see any other posts on this subject. Strange thing is that Chromium works fine but Firefox wouldn't work either but Edge does. I don't think this is a problem with a quick fix but if anyone out there has any ideas then I would be most grateful.

An addition to my post I did use system restore to go back before the Windows update and I got chrome working again, but then of course Windows auto updated again and I was back to square one.
