I have been told that Win 10 has a zip capability but am unable to find it.

Hi Riley,
Welcome to the Forum.
The Windows 10 operating system has a native compression/decompression process built in.
It is not listed as a program (app) per se.
If you have downloaded a zipped file you simply right-click the file and select Extract All from the context menu that pops up.
If you have a file or files you wish to compress into a zipped file you right-click on the file or selected files, then in the context menu that pops up select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder
