When I open my homepage in Firefox my Gmail icon shows just below the toolbar together with my blue account symbol and I can't get rid of them. Can you help please?

Hi sandrajean,

Welcome to the Forum.

It sounds to me like you have a new toolbar displaying for Gmail.

I took a look at Mozilla Firefox's website for instructions on how to remove toolbars, as I do not use Firefox myself.

This is what they say:

Use the Add-ons Manager to remove the toolbar
In most cases, third-party toolbars can be uninstalled from Firefox Add-ons Manager Extensions list, as follows:

  1. Click the menu button

and choose Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
  2. In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
  3. Select the toolbar you wish to remove.
  4. Click the Remove button.
  5. Click Restart now if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.
If you can't remove the toolbar from the Add-ons Manager, use the "Disable" option as a workaround, or see the Cannot remove an add-on (extension or theme) article for other solutions.
