0xc0000225, 0xc0000221, 0xc0000098 error codes SOLVED.

OK my Motherboard is working all four ram now what it was was the ram timing I was trying to run 4 sticks of ram at 933mhz DDR3 1866 and the windows wouldn't boot but 2 sticks of 8gb ram @ 9333mhz x 1866 would boot giving me a total of 16gb
I have altered the memory clock in the memory configuration section of the bios to 4 sticks of ram 933mhz ddr3 x 1866 but setting the memory clock to 4 sticks of ram 800mhz x 1600 totaling 32gb of ram.

NOW the question is is 16gb ram faster at 933mhz x 1866 than 32gb running at 800mhz x 1600 I am pretty sure the 800mhz x 1600 would be more stable.

I guess the best setup for this 980de/u3s3 r2.0 Asrock MB (max ram 32gb) would be to install two 16gb DDR3 running 933mhz x 1866 to get the optimal performence without passing out when trying to load windows.

Caution: when cmos batteries get flat remember the bios settings will change and these error codes will show again until the bios is reset with a new battery as well.

I think I am going to buy a GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P. I don't want to get into trouble because this is the cheapest, so I ask in advance. What do you think of that mainboard? Any suggestions?
IF you're dead set on an AMD Board then that one is probably a good one, frankly I would prefer a couple more USB 3.0 ports on the back......
AND, your link points to a Revision 1.0 board, do not purchase a Rev. 1 board when a Revision 2 board is already out and available for purchase.

I have run into similar issues with AMD boards, specifically a Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 Rev 2.1.
I think it is because of the way the Memory controller is designed to work involving the processor and apparently only when you use all available memory slots on the board.
IT was an older board and I was running 4 sticks of DDR3 1333 (667 Mhz) Memory which produced BSODs, at 9, 9, 9, 24, 1.5V. When I dumbed it down to DDR3 1066 (533 Mhz) 7, 7, 7, 20, 1.5V.... No problems.
I subsequently discovered that I could return it to the DDR3 13333 (667 Mhz) settings if I bumped the Memory Voltage for the controller from 1.5 V to 1.6 V...... No problems.
You can either dumb down the memory as you have done or bump the memory voltage up a notch.
You should probably check the support forum for your specific motherboard and see if they have any suggestions as to memory timings and voltages for the memory you are using.

Do you know the differences? I can't really see them on their product page. According to the pictures the vendors here have, they only have r1.0. I Need to contact them and ask. :/

OK, nevermind, just found something. http://www.overclock.net/t/1527635/...2-out-gigabytes-reply-to-msi/10#post_23221233

The revision number(s) are plainly printed on Gigabyte Boards and often on the box they come in as well. Seldom if ever on the manual (I have no idea why).
Like my old board I mentioned above was a Rev. 2.1 board and it was printed right on the board.

Soo... I am about to buy a new mainboard. My current favorite is the GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P.

I have compared it with ASUS boards in the same budget range, but so far there are no big differences. But I also read, that the 990FX chipset is better for the AMD FX-8350 cpu. Mostly because it's better for overclocking and sli. I don't use either. But there were some who said that the VRMs are better cooled on 990FX board.

So I am wondering: should I get an 990FX board instead? Like the GIGABYTE GA-990FX-Gaming mainboard.

Can you guys help me there?

You would be ok with either board. If you feel more comfortable with the 990FX then do that one. All of my systems that I have built for myself and friends and family have been AMD systems dating back to 1997. I have never had any problems with them. I prefer MSI boards but again that is just my preference. You would be good with either of the Gigabyte boards you have listed.
