The most recent automatic update to my Windows 10 Pro version 22H2 (x32) has caused my startup programs to stop running. Even though Task Manager shows them as 'enabled' in Startups, following Google's suggestion to change MSCONFIG to 'Normal Boot' led to irreversible BSODs. A conversation with Microsoft support recommended reinstalling Windows, which seems like an extreme solution. Does anyone have advice on preventing this update from disrupting autostart functionality, or how to restore autostarts after they have been disabled?
