HP Pavilion laptop showing black screen on startup

Hello,

I recently received an HP Pavilion laptop from my mum, but it only shows a black screen when turned on. The laptop powers up (when connected to AC), and the HDD spins, but nothing appears on the screen. It resembles the black screen you see before Windows loads the boot menu, but with a slight brightness.

I’m not sure of the exact model, but I suspect it might be an HP Pavilion 15-n200.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
