I can't find my documents

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I can't find my documents that were previously in this computer. How do I find them?

Where were they?
Check C:\Users
There may be two profiles there. One pre and one post upgrade. There shouldn't be but it's possible. If not look in
C:\Windows.OLD\Users\YourUserName\Documents (or pictures or music or whatever) and see if they are there. If so..... do not move them, you can copy them (not move them) to where you would like them to be.
I would also suggest backing them up as well.
Of course I would have suggested backing up your entire disk before even attempting the upgrade.

hi, the same thing happened to me. the only thing left was my recycling bin. about 12 hours later, now I know this sounds weird, on my black screen it said in white letters" your files are where you left them". I was a little creeped out. but it was true, they just reappeared. Hope the same happens for you.
