Low sound volume

Hello,

I have a laptop that I upgrade to Windows 10. I really like it so far, aside from a few puzzling issues.

My volume isn't as loud as it used to be on Windows 7, it sound about half way from where it should be. I have checked the icon in the corner and the volume is at 100%, but it should be able to do more.

Can you help?

Notebooks typically have their own volume control, controlled by buttons or keys on the keyboard. I suspect it is turned down there.
