I'm encountering the message "Please update your device settings to accept media transfers" while trying to transfer videos from my JVC Everio camcorder to my laptop. I haven't used this camcorder in two years, but I previously transferred videos from it to this laptop successfully. Despite following manual instructions due to the absence of software on the laptop, I'm still receiving the same error message. I've watched YouTube tutorials for troubleshooting this issue, which advise accessing device manager or device settings to edit power plans and USB settings. However I can't locate these USB settings as indicated. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
