SSH server, IP tracking problem (Bitvise)

Hey!

I was going through the steps of setting up a ssh server on my pc, though bitvise, to better protect myself online.

Everything was going smoothly step by step and it seemed as if I was all step up.

However to test the work I had done, I visited a website that is meant to tell you your ip address only to find that the ssh server did nothing to protect my address.

If any of you could assist me of provide insight it would mean a ton.

ssh (secure shell) has nothing to do with protecting your computer it is another means to access your computer via putty or others. it does have its own security but I don't believe it can protect your ip.
