SOLVED Unable to select Chrome as default browser

In Settings -> System -> Default Apps. Web browser says Choose a Default. I click the + icon and get a list of Chrome, MS Edge, and MS IE. No matter which one I choose, nothing happens. The default is not set.

I was able to fix it by going to Control Panel -> Default Programs -> Set Default Programs. I chose Google Chrome from the list and clicked Set the program as default. Voila!
