Cannot pin site

I cannot pin a site accessed by Edge to anything anywhere.
I can access the logo in top left of screen, click on it and read the drop down menu ,click on PIN and that's that.
Except as far as I can see ,nothing is pinned to nothing!!!
IF I repeat access the logo the drop down screen shows PINNED, but to repeat nothing really is pinned.
I can drag the logo to the taskbar but it does not stick.
I check the start screen but its not there. Search does not find the logo .
Just another of Wins ongoing mysteries, to me anyway.
But I have great faith in the folk on this site so I wait expectantly.

There may be another way, but this is my method.

Right click the logo, top left.
In the drop+ down menu, click "Pin"
Click the "more", settings (The three horizontal lines top right)
Select "Pin this page to start"

Thanks DAVEHC, certainly works but pins to START not TASKBAR which I prefer.
However I did not specify.
Also on my little screen the 3 bars you refer to are actually 3 dots.

Sorry. You are correct. Not a typo, just carelessness
But. The taskbar is a little more involved, and not worth the effort with Edge.

Do the same as before, but this time, in the (three dots- lol) menu select "open with IE".

From here, it is pretty much as it was originally. Click the small site symbol at the top left. Drag it to the desktop and create a shortcut. Right click the shortcut and you will see the option to pin to taskbar.
