Display text colour

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to change text colours and sizes in Windows functions. My main gripe is that the text colour and size in the file explorer is a sort of mid grey on white and in my advancing years I find it difficult to see. I simply want to change it to black on white or is this not possible?

Any and all help greatly appreciated.....
