iMac running Boot Camp with Windows 10 crashes on login with igdkmd64.sys error

I’m having trouble with my iMac Mid 2011 running Boot Camp Assistant for Windows 10. After logging into my Microsoft account, I get an igdkmd64.sys error. I’ve seen others run Windows 10 smoothly on similar setups.

What should I do to get Windows 10 working on my Mac? Should I avoid signing in, or is there another fix?
