Missing Protocols

Hi, Pc twill not connect to internet----After troubleshooting I receive message -- One or more network protocols are missing on this computer.
Issues Found--Windows socket registry entries required for network connectivity are missing.

 

[Trouble]

Try rebuilding the IP and Winsock catalog and see if that helps
Right click the Start Button and choose Command Prompt (Admin) and in the command prompt window type
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
hit enter
then type
netsh Winsock reset
hit enter
then type
exit
hit enter
Restart your computer

I tried this earlier today & no help then or now. It did say on the first entry that access was denied.
