For those into dual boot I've been using iREBOOT which is a "useful utility" of easyBCD. It goes from one OS to the other without Windows Boot Manager screen which is not so much faster but more direct.

I recall someone on this forum wondering if this was possible. Yes, but I say it reduces to personal preference to use it or not.

It's a separate download from Neosmart.

I gave it a try, but ended up uninstalling it.
My observations:

1. On my computer dual booting Win 10 Home and Linux Mint 17.2 Xfce, iReboot does not see the Linux partition.
2. On my computer dual booting Win 10 Pro and Insider Preview, it does bypass the boot menu but it takes extra longer to come to the sign in page and seemingly longer yet to arrive at the desktop. Nothing to gain really.

But thanks for the info.
